Working Principle: The coal in the bunker goes into the feeder through coal gate and is transmitted to the next equipment by the belt inside the coal feeder. Electrical weighing device is installed under the conveyor belt, when the material works on the belt, it can generate a signal in proportion to the material weight. The signal is transmitted to the controller. At the same time, speed sensor installed on the tail pulley detects the belt speed and generates a signal which is also transmitted to the controller. By multiplying the weight signal and the speed signal, the instantaneous flow rate and total accumulation can be calculated. The control system compares the actual flow signal with the set flow signal and then regulates the output signal through PID to adjust the belt speed dynamically and thus to meet feeding requirements.
